2 May 2008 - Newsletter 15

Dear Friends

Just a short early newsletter as we are on training days and then off for May Day on Monday 5th next week.

This long term is already rushing by; it has been nice to see the children playing in the sunshine more. We are all waiting for the field to dry out enough to use it every day.

Back last year when we discussed school uniform in detail, I mentioned in a newsletter that maybe we could build on the gold/blue theme by having a greater choice of yellow or blue checked/striped dresses in the summer. Some people took me at my word and have already got yellow dresses. Ooops!

As some have been bought and girls are already wearing them, they are perfectly acceptable for this summer term. Over the coming months, the governing body will discuss the issue and produce a new uniform list for September, clarifying exactly what can be worn. Apologies for any misunderstanding.

Thanks to all of you parents for the smart appearance of the children. It is a joy to see them around school and in Kinson with their gold and navy tops. Your support really is appreciated.

Have a lovely long weekend.

Back bright and ready for the month of May – blossom and SATs tests everywhere!

Kindest regards

Liz Thomasson

KS2 SATs WEEK REMINDER

Monday 12th May - Friday 16th May

Get your breakfasts, Y6!

FORGOTTEN KITS - Please ensure that your child remembers to bring in their PE/swimming kits etc. when necessary.  A lot of time (and money) is spent by having to phone home for forgotten kits. This also applies to slips – if your child brings home a letter that requires a signature please can you send the slip back to school asap, rather than extra letters being sent home or reminder calls being made. Thank you.
