Kinson Promotes Success

               Attendance and contact details

The school is required to publish attendance figures annually to the Department for Education and Skills (DfES). It is vital that all absence therefore be reported to the office at the earliest convenience

- Any non-urgent messages relating to a pupil's absence should be left on the answer phone, 01202 582926, before 9.30 a.m. if possible.

- Urgent calls or those requiring immediate attention should be made on our main phone line 01202 572713.

- If a child is late or absent without parent notification this will be recorded as unauthorised and the school will contact you to verify the reason for this.

- If your child needs to leave the premises during the school day (i.e. doctors/dentist/hospital etc.) please visit the office to obtain a pass. The pupils pass system supports the work of the Education Welfare Officers and Police in identification of pupils out of school without permission.

In the case of long term lateness or absence the school is required to notify the Education Welfare Officer who may visit home to offer support or guidance. The school's Education Welfare Officer is Alyson Hammond-Forge who is based at Dorset House (tel 456218)

Contact Details

Please keep the office informed if you have changed any telephone numbers, including those of contacts. This is particularly important as we may have to ring you if your child is ill, not in school or for any other reason. Please write down telephone numbers or any other changes (such as address etc.) on a piece of paper and bring it into the office. Thank you.
